The Japanese language has about 100 vocal sounds(!) in all.
However, it only has 5 vowels, and these are the foundation of ALL the Japanese pronunciations.

...That's all! It's so easy, isn't it?
Please repeat aloud these 5 sounds 10 times from now on.
You can speak some Japanese words by combining these sounds.
For example :
a i means Love
i e = house
o i = nephew
a o i = blue
u e = above / up
a u = meet (a person)...By the way, I must tell you one thing at this moment,
"We don't use the Alphabet when we write the Japanese words!!!"
We use some special letters which are called "hira-gana", "kata-kana", and "kan-ji". (kan-ji means Chinese Letters. They came from China more than 1,500 years ago.) And hira-gana is the most basic of all.
Now let's try to write a i u e o by using hira-gana!
